Is It Not a Photograph? popup show
At the end of the Spring 2025 semester, the photography department held a one day only popup show to showcase all the work the students in the alternative processes and photo book-making classes had accomplished and I was asked to make the promotions!

The Long Ride Home Exhibition & Artist Talk
For this project, I had the honor of designing promotional materials for an exhibition and public lecture presented by Pulitzer Prize Winning Photographer, Ron Tarver.

MSU RCASH Promotional Posters
For my senior capstone project, I and my classmate, Chloe Gramelspacher, collaborated to create a series of posters for Missouri State University's twelve departments that make up the Reynolds College of Arts, Social Sciences & Humanities (RCASH). It was Chloe's concept for each poster to feature the Citizen Scholar statue located in front of Strong Hall on Missouri State's main campus as well as a limited color palette inspired by MSU's established brand identity.

Promotional Materials for Spring 2025 BFA in Art Show
For a while I had been wanting to try playing with Illustrator’s 3D function so I decided to try it for this promotional series. I didn’t really have a direction going into it, but as I was playing with the tool, I was reminded of early internet CGI and Word Art, so I went with that idea! I used references of old popups to make the boxes for text as well as the extremely recognizable classic Windows wallpaper. This branding was especially exciting to do because it was for one of my two senior exhibitions.

Logo for Recycling Campaign
For this class project, I and my fellow students were asked to create a new logo for Brick City’s recycling campaign. I decided to make an emblem type logo featuring the top of an aluminum can. I started with a simple black and white logo, but for the colored version I chose to go with earthy tones reminiscent of the National Parks logo. The mock-ups I made were not required for the class, but I liked the logo I made so much I decided to put it into action. I thought that the re-usability of the tote bag and water bottle fit well with the idea of a recycling campaign. I also made a sticker mock-up because the logo lends itself so well to a round sticker design and because stickers are a great way to spread awareness and representation in a relatively cheap way.

Gender Neutral Skincare Packaging
This was a group class project where we were paired with a classmate and asked to create a line of gender neutral skincare packaging. My partner and I decided to try and make our products appeal to the alternative, goth, and Wiccan communities by using darker, more moody colors, and creating a unique sigil to represent each product. I found the typeface we used for the wordmark and my partner had the idea to use a sunburst shape in place of the tiddle over the “i.” We also wanted to make our packaging look like it could be very expensive and high end, but is actually affordable and environmentally conscious.

Jordan Creek Cleaning Event Promotional Materials
For this project, I was asked to create a poster and social media campaign advertising a creek cleaning event hosted by Mother’s Brewery as a collaboration between Missouri State’s Art & Design and Engineering departments. For the design, I was asked to emulate the style of Fried Design Co., a local design company who creates the branding for Mother’s Brewery. I took inspiration from several of their projects including the work they did for The Heritage Smoke Company and Brand Jelly Sticker Supply.

AIGA Get Out The Vote Poster
For this project, we were required to create a non-polarized poster and Instagram post for AIGA’s Get Out The Vote campaign. I wanted to try using more physical media in my design, so for this project I hand-made a cross stitch of the word “vote.” I chose this medium because it was an idea I’d been holding onto for a while and I thought it would work well for this project because it offers a subtle nod to women’s suffrage with a traditionally feminine craft. I then scanned the fabric and used Photoshop to tweak the colors and textures a little until I was satisfied with them. This poster was also selected to be in Missouri State University’s Spring 2025 Juried Exhibition at Carolla Arts Exhibition Center where it won the

Poster for a Jazz Festival
For this assignment, we were tasked with creating a poster promoting the Polish festival, Jazz in Ruins. I took inspiration from the style and colors of vintage jazz record albums as well as a former project I did that was influenced by Louise Fili’s work for the hosiery brand, Ilux. After completing the poster for class, it was submitted to American Advertising Federation Awards 2024 where it won a Student Silver Addy Award at the Heartland level. It was also accepted into Missouri State University’s Spring 2024 Juried Exhibition at the Carolla Art and Exhibition Center.

Magazines Stories for a New Documentary
For this project, we were asked to make two different versions of a magazine spread mobile page (one for older audiences and another for younger audiences) for an article about a new documentary. We were asked to research the topic on our own and watch the documentary in order to get inspiration.

Spring 2025 Missouri State Gallery Schedules
Every semester, the design technician is responsible for making a poster and bookmark set with the exhibitions that will be held in Missouri State’s two galleries.
